Spider guard uses sleeve grips and feet on the biceps to control the opponent's arms and posture from a distance. It punishes anyone who leans forward or postures too hard, and it combines with lasso and De La Riva to form the classic gi open-guard system.

You have sleeve grips and feet on the biceps. Stretch and off-balance them, then sweep or submit.
