Single Leg X-Guard
Single-leg X (SLX) controls one leg with a hook behind the knee and a foot on the hip. It is the most common gateway between sweeping guards and leg entanglements: from SLX you can sweep, stand up to a single leg, or drop into ashi garami for straight ankle locks and heel hooks.
